Wisdom according to Tim McCarver…

In this article by Murray Chass, Tim McCarver is quoted as telling us that the cause of the lower run scoring and HR rates this year is…

“........ lack of hitting and great pitching”

When asked what the cause of the oil damage in the Gulf was, he responded, “Lots of oil.” And when asked why it was so hot lately on the East Coast, he said, “Simple.  The temperature has been higher.”
