Will the read Brad Lidge please stand up

By Tangotiger, 10:13 AM

Jeff points to the Fans at Fangraphs, split between Phillies fans and non-Phillies fans.  They match on IP (70 or 71), they match on K (80, 83), they match on walks (36, 35) they match on HR (9 on both), their FIP are close (4.20 and 4.06), but look at their BABIP:
Phillies fans: .335
Other fans: .377 (!!!)

That is such a ridiculously high figure, it basically means that the non-Phillies fans believe that Lidge is no longer MLB-caliber.  I don’t know how bad you have to be to have a true talent .377, but it’s going to be pretty gosh-darn bad.
