Why the rest of the names MUST be released
Craig Calcaterra, blogger and lawyer (i.e., he owns a house, but works out of his basement) says Why the rest of the names cannot be released:
The listed players have had at least two legal duties owed to them breached and two legal rights entitled to them violated: the fiduciary duties owed to them by their union, the contractual duties…
Yada yada yada more legal mumbo-jumbo, like Constitution rights (as if they mean anything at all), Right to Privacy (which these players gave up once they set foot on the sandlot at age 8).
Listen, this is baseball. BASEBALL. There is nothing that the old white guy will protect more than baseball, other than his supposedly-to-him virgin seventeen year old daughter (who coincidentally comes home at 3AM every night in a different car). Just as his cronies on Capital Hill make it a federal offense to have sex with her, so too must all laws be set aside in the pursuit for keeping baseball virginal. If you really need to, you can go to the other side of the tracks where football players and basketball players are all too eager to live life without having a reputation to worry about.
So, please, release the names, spit on the Constitution, let the Holy Writers be allowed to preach the word, and protect baseball at all costs. This is baseball dammit.
