When podcasts attack

By Tangotiger, 02:23 PM

I hate podcast-tease.  I speak for a vocal minority: we can’t hear you from the office!  I get it, you are advertising something.  But please, provide some synopsis here.

When I moved to the USA, first thing I noticed about TV is that the News channels had teasers to their stories!  In Canada (don’t know if it’s still the case), the preview to the story would actually tell you what happened, and you tuned in to the News to see the details of the story.  Here?  It’s always “you won’t believe what happened”.

An ESPN writer says:

Plus: Excellent emails discussing sabermetricians

And here I am, very interested to know, and I don’t know anything.  Stop being marketers, and don’t forget about us at the office.

And, as someone else reminded me, some people out there are actually… deaf.  Why don’t you consider them as part of your demographic?  So, be a good guy, and give us at least a one or two line synopsis.
