When is satire satire?

By Tangotiger, 12:08 PM

Non-sports post.

For Sarah Palin, that’s easy.  If Rush says “what’s wrong with calling retards retards?”, that’s satire, even though he was expressing outrage at the political correctness climate in this country (he’s right, but man that was a terrible example).  But, when a cartoon built on satire does something funny, that’s not satire.  I have no doubt that the Palins did not even see the episode in question.
