When athletes play doctor

As if Holy Writers being out of their element is not jarring enough, here comes Mark Recchi, a highly-respected NHL player (and one of my favorites), and former Montreal Canadiens and current Boston Bruins bullsh!tting:

Mark Recchi joined the conversation, and whether he was coaxed into it or not, came out with the same conclusions. “The concussion was really a non factor, maybe he felt it for a day or two. They were trying to get Zdeno (Chara) suspended, and they embellished it a little bit. They were doing what they could to get him suspended.”

Next time Mark speaks, actually every time Mark speaks, he should precede it with: “I am no analyst, and the evidence I am about to present is flimsy and without basis.  Now, this is what I think:”
