Was Andre Dawson principally a CF or RF?

Yes, he played more in RF than CF, but he did that when his career was on the downswing.  I’ll make three points:

1. He has as many innings in CF as Dale Murphy (and Murphy is considered a CF… Hawk just happened to be better than Murphy that he could find somewhere else to play)

2. Two-thirds of Hawk’s WAR was compiled in CF

3. Is Eck in the HOF principally as a reliever or starter?
