WAR before WAR - 1915 World Series

If you can believe it, discussion of a WAR-type metric (pdf), complete with positional adjustments!  (Don’t get too excited.  It looks more like an Elias ranking more than anything.)

The author is Hugh Fullerton of the NY Times, and a quick google shows some Black Sox hits.
