Good stuff:

And then he gives us this great chart which shows that there’s a “sweetspot” that the extra speed really starts to take on its own level.  If you need to think about it, say you have a guy like Stephen Strasburg facing a bunch of college kids that are not prospects for MLB.  At some pitch speed, those guys are useless.  So, that’s why you can’t just think things in terms of proportionality.
