Two faces of Posnanski’s readers
Poz has his own blog, which we can consider “niche”. The comments there would be the kinds of comments you’d find at Primer and other saber-friendly sites. He also has a blog at SI. The commenters there are more mainstream, though obviously more thoughtful than your typical cringe-inducing board.
Those two links are for the exact same article (about stats, sample size, and BABIP), but posted at two different sites. I find the comments fascinating in their completely different angles and beliefs.
Poz continues to be our best hope for bridging the chasm. (I would include Neyer, but for some reason, there’s a segment of readers that simply can’t stand Neyer. But I’ve never seen anyone say anything bad about Poz.)
