Turner, Montana… the Saskatoon of America?

By Tangotiger, 07:38 AM

A group wishing to buy the Phoenix Coyotes and wanting to play some home games in a sister city in Canada settled on Saskatoon and Halifax as the two large town farthest away from any NHL team.  Turner, Montana is the American town farthest away from an MLB team.  Shouldn’t one team play one home game series here?

Many years ago, when the NHL temporarily increased the number of games to 84, the two extra games were played in “neutral” cities.  I loved the idea.  Perhaps 2 games for every team was too much logistically, but one game per division sounds do-able.
