Trivia of the day, with a bonus f.you to Pitching wins

By Tangotiger, 04:23 PM

A Bill James reader:

ON 6/17/00 Ismeal Valdez was the starting pitcher for the Cubs, In the bottom of the 2nd he had an RBI single giving the Cubs a 1-0 lead, after the 3rd inning he left with an injury. The game ended 1-0. Do you know of any other time in baseball history where the Starting Pitcher drove in the only run of the game, and was not credited with the win?
