Today’s Teixeira article

By Tangotiger, 02:00 PM

I agree:

For the record, the people I trust the most on defense because they at least see every play made by every player are the Baseball Info Solutions video scouts. In the Bill James Handbook, they listed 2009 Teixeira as the game’s seventh-best defensive first baseman behind, in order, Albert Pujols, Adrian Gonzalez, Kevin Youkilis, Casey Kotchman, Lyle Overbay and Travis Ishikawa.

Not that there’s much separating all of them.  Something like 5 runs maybe?  You can make a reasonable argument that any of them is the best fielding 1B in baseball.
