Reality TV to save low-level sports

By Tangotiger, 11:38 AM

I remember when XFL was floundering, Howard Stern made a suggestion that the best way to boost ratings would be to show the players AWAY from the field, that the actual game itself should only be a small part of what they show.  Basically, American Idol-ize low-level sports.

Canada has done it a couple of times successfully already, and now there is a suggestion they do it on the women’s hockey national team. I’m sure it would be a big hit in Canada… but could they also sell it to USA?
