Randomness of plus/minus

While this article is about basketball and plus/minus, a similar simulation should be done for hockey, for baseball fielding, for hitting, pitching....really, for EVERYTHING.

Indeed, I think it should be standard practice among us saberists that every single stat we present is either clearly marked as “metric may substantially influenced by random variation”, or we show how much random variation is in the stat.

Colin did this for nFRAA.  That should be the model.

And you pitchf/x-ers are not exempt, either.
