“…need to shut the f-ck up”
Take it away, mercurial-outfielder:
The sanctimonious finger-pointing needs to stop. Former players, themselves products of decades of amphetamine and cocaine-fueled baseball, need to stop grasping for a few more minutes of relevance and shut the fuck up. The sainted writers, who stood mute while back acne and rages filled locker rooms and only now choose to voice their concerns, need to shut the fuck up. The owners, the men who profited the most from the use and abuse of steroids and now want to appear as the victims, need to shut the fuck up. The fans, who stood and cheered and bought shirts and jerseys and toy bats and such and now act like little children who’ve learned Santa Claus doesn’t exist, need to shut the fuck up.
And the billionaire owner of a beer company, the abuse of whose products kills thousands of people every single year and who is directly responsible for the death of another human being, especially needs to shut the fuck up.
