Most wins, 2000-2009

By Tangotiger, 12:57 PM

148 Andy Pettitte (88%)
143 Randy Johnson (73%)
140 Jamie Moyer (97%)
139 Roy Halladay (75%)
137 Tim Hudson (80%)
137 Roy Oswalt (75%)
136 CC Sabathia (82%)
135 Mark Buehrle (82%)
134 Greg Maddux (85%)
134 Mike Mussina (86%)

(Relative ERA in parens… that is, ERA divided by league ERA.)

Among pitchers with at least 1400 IP, here are the leaders in relative ERA: Pedro, Johan, RJ, Oswalt, Halladay, Clemens, Schilling, Zambrano, Hudson, CC.  Moyer is 35th out of 46 pitchers who qualify.  Pettitte is 19th.

When you talk about the best pitcher of the decade (2000-2009), you don’t put Pettitte and Moyer in the same conversation as Randy Johnson and Roy Halladay and Roy Oswalt and Johan Santana, do you?
