Michael Young is Derek Jeter

By Tangotiger, 03:49 PM

I got a good chuckle out of this offensive comparison.

That’s because in 2008, Jeter was one of Young’s top 20 fielding comps.
And in 2007, Jeter was one of Young’s top 10 fielding comps.
And in 2006, one of his top 5 fielding comps.
And in 2005, there’s Young as Jeter’s top 10 comp.

Not to mention that Michael Young and Derek Jeter were both bringing up the rear in my WOWY and in MGL’s UZR.

And of course, they are one-team players, who are infielders, with “Gold Gloves” at SS, who both were involved in position switches (directly or indirectly) because of ARod.

And yet, even though you have these two twins, one is firmly entrenched at one position, and the other bounces between positions every year or two.
