Matt Swartz

By Tangotiger, 09:54 AM

I just noticed that Matt is now writing weekly for BPro:

BP staff member Matt Swartz BP staff (24824) Yup, writing weekly here. Thanks! Aug 03, 2009 14:30 PM link

Wow, what a shocker.  I would never have guessed that BPro would end up hiring more than the actual winner.

For those new around here, my sarcasm is dripping as thick as maple syrup.

This is what I don’t get.  They go out of their way to highlight the contest, with banner ads and hokey contrived themes, and then all the commentary that may or may not have been beneficial but which I must believe that at this point is completely forgotten by everyone (other than Will’s “I don’t like numbers").  After they do all that, they basically slide Matt right in as if he was a regular newcomer, with no fanfare, no explanation, no nothing.  (They do the same thing when they get rid of writers too.) It’s as if BPro Idol didn’t exist.

Honesty.  Just once, I’d like to see them be upfront about what they are doing, and why they are doing it.  Would it have killed them to make the announcement in their blog that Matt, Brian, Ken, and Tim were, are, or about to be hired?
