Let me have the wisdom to know that I can’t hit, but that I can still contribute with the bat

Dave Allen shows us that Luis Castillo shrinks his personal strike zone to a huge degree with 0 strikes.  The end result is that Castillo is an overall average hitter.  If I were an over-the-hill player, I would take as many pitches as a I could as a hitter. And worry about location at the expense of velocity and movement as a pitcher.  Walks is the great equalizer.
