Is TJ Simers a worse person than Marcus Thames is a fielder?
According to the Fans, Marcus Thames is one of the worst fielders in MLB (hint: go to the bottom of the page). According to UZR, Thames is -8 runs per 150 games as a corner outfielder, which is bad. He’s played 600 games, but only played 400 on the field. So, according to MLB managers, they also don’t like to see him on the field too often.
Was I being mean or fair just now?
Well, TJ Simers confronted Marcus Thames with no courtesy, and asked him (via insult) what he thinks about his terrible fielding.
Was Simers being mean because he said it to Thames’ face, while I was being fair because I posted it on my blog? Was he being mean because he said it with the intention of getting a reaction from Thames while I’m being fair because I’m just posting it dispassionately?
Anyway, Simers AGAIN confronted Thames.
Marcus Thames is a true gentlemen. In a world where TJ Simers and Chris Brown have to breathe our air, guys like Marcus Thames shows us what a great person looks like.

More silver lining is this person writes about Thames’ family life. Read the last couple of paragraphs.
