Is FIFA being run by Gary Bettman?

By Tangotiger, 05:13 PM

Several years ago, the NHL had a short-lived rule about not having a skate in the crease prior to the puck being there, even if the guy in the crease is the guy with the puck.  It resulted in a controversial series-ending goal by Brett Hull on Dominic Hasek.  The Sabres captain, Mike Peca wanted a review, and he was trying to talk to Bettman, while Bettman had only interest in handing out the Cup and did not acknowledge Peca’s protests.  Basically, if you close your eyes, life is perfect.

This is FIFA’s recap of the USA Slovenia 2:2 game.  You will notice the controversial missing 5th goal is not there.  If you want to see the goal, you need to see it on Youtube.  And the message board at FIFA is totally devoid of discussions of the non-goal goal.
