Hilarious (inane) TV commentary

I’m watching the Boston/Toronto game on the Toronto network.  Those announcers are horrible, but that pretty much goes without saying unless your name is Scully.  Anyway, the two guys were really ragging on strikeouts for batters (how bad they are).  Tommy Hutton, I think, said, “There is nothing more of a rally killer than strikeouts and double plays.”

I wonder if he realizes the irony in that statement?
