Google Reader

By Tangotiger, 02:11 PM

Having been a subscriber to Google Reader for a few days now, I see plenty of issues I’d like to see resolved (or if they are resolved, explained to me how to handle).

1. I’m not going to subscribe to feeds that have more than 5-10 posts a day.  I need to be able to separate my my high-volume feeds from the low-volume ones.

2. I don’t want to see my tech feeds interspersed with my sports feeds interspersed with my news feeds.  Hello.  news.google.com already splits up by category, so I want to see category splits here as well.

3. The subs at the bottom left are NOT viewable to me, except for the first sub.  This has to do with me setting my taskbar as two or three rows deep.  The only way for me to make it viewable is to collapse the “Home” section in the top left.

I do like that they’re able to recommend good feeds to me, but, again, I can’t subscribe until I can do some good sorting on them.  Sorting is key.  I need to be able to sort by category and by low/high-volume, as well as collapse / expand branches as I see fit (Lotus Notes users will know about that).

Now, is this just me?  I would presume that 100% of the people have experienced the same issues I had in the first week of using Google Reader.  Do Google Reader developers not use Google Reader?
