Girardi just couldn’t help himself…

He’s managed his bullpen quite well so far.  But I guess he just had to DO something in extra innings, so he took out a very good reliever in Robertson and brought in a much worse one (according to my projections) in Aceves, for no apparent reason, not to mention that in an extra inning game, he reduces his flexibility in doing so.  Basically you want to at least let Robertson go one time through the order.

I’m sure he had A reason, but it was likely one of those BS ones, like a batter/pitcher matchup, or a “feeling” he had.
