Fangraphs Fan forecasts

By Tangotiger, 04:49 PM

Crashburn provides evidence to be careful.

When I do my surveys, I do extensive quality checks because a few bad apples can really kill the results if I only have several responses.  So, Crashburn’s issues may not necessarily be with the involvement of fans but with the vetting of their involvement.  Even then, when I do my checking, I don’t do it in real-time, or even every couple of days.  Sometimes, I’ll only run it once a week.

So, yes, be careful.  But, I would not use this evidence to come to a conclusion other than more/faster quality checks may be needed.
