Fan voting gone bad?

By Tangotiger, 02:35 PM

MLB.com does their annual Fan awards

Mauer had a great hitting season, but he is not Pujols.  However, considering he’s hitting like taht as a catcher (not the positional adjustment for catcher, but the wear/tear on his body).  If we go with my Fans, Ellsbury would be at the 70th percentile or so, which is nice.  UZR had him as a huge negative.  Best fielder in MLB?  On the other hand, nice to see Greinke there.  Affeldt is a decent pick.  Werth recognized as being unrecognized is nice.  All-in-all, pretty good.  Ellsbury had probably too many “fan” votes, rather than serious ones.
