Eyes Glazing Over

By Tangotiger, 10:53 AM

My eyes completely glazed over in looking at Steven Miller’s (pdf) applicaton of the Weibull distribution.

I’m not a mathematician, so maybe someone here can do the honors.  How does Miller compare to the Tango Distribution (zip file).  And, to PythagenPat?  Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer more layspeak, like Professor Ben Vollmayr-Lee does here.  There’s a reason for that, and a reason that governments mandate that english-friendly prospectus of investment and credit card accounts are provided, in addition to lawyer-speak terms and conditions.  If only 1% of the population can understand what you are trying to say, the other 99% are shutout from understanding you, and, more importantly, discovering the problems with what you just said.
