Expected RBI, by lineup slot
This is what Tony Perez’s RBI totals would be, based on where he hit in the lineup (and had average baserunners, for those lineup slots):

3 1,523
4 1,619
5 1,559
6 1,471
7 1,452
8 1,435
9 1,426

Learn those numbers, memorize them. They are that important. You will see a pattern there, which basically says that if your chances of scoring is “1x” with 2 outs, then it’s “2x” with 1 out and “3x” with 0 outs. Remember that. ("Whoever sets up the meeting is the traitor. Remember that.")
