Dontrelle “Lightning” Willis
Rob Neyer notes that Dontrelle Willis is being very successful this year, against all odds. It’s these lighting-in-a-bottle success stories that always gives these previously good pitchers a chance in MLB. Looking at his pitch results real quick (so don’t quote me on this), it looks like he’s got his slider back. Is it possible that a replacement-level pitcher is really just one good pitch away from being average?
