Community/Obama Forecast - NCAA Bracket

By Tangotiger, 12:21 PM

Can someone be kind enough to post how well the community forecast did against the individual forecast in ESPN’s bracket?  Obama finished at the 80th percentile, which sounds to me like he was an “average expert”, and I presume all experts are around there, as well as the community forecast.

This is similar to what I did (on a smaller scale) six years ago, where the community forecast finished at the 90th percentile, compared to each individual forecaster.  If it’s not clear, the community does not finish at the 50th percentile, but far higher.  Read the article to try to appreciate why this is so.
