Wiffle Ball

By Tangotiger, 03:28 PM

I love these other-sport competitions.  Gretzky says that his beloved sport is baseball, not hockey.  Imagine if he was actually half-good at baseball, what the hockey world would have lost.

Great read!  I love Wiffle.  I could see major league players having problems w/ the crazy break you can get with those things.

See if Baseruns applies to that league (they have stats somewhere on that site)

Taking these stats I just found:
http://sheboyganwiffleball.com/stats_batting_06.html

And applying it to my Markov:
http://www.tangotiger.net/markov.html

And presuming there is no “taking the extra base” (set all values to 0 in that chart), I get 11.0 Runs scored per 27 outs, via Markov (11.7 for BsR, 12.0 for RC).

That team scored 261 runs in 638 outs, or an average of 11.0 per 27 outs.... a perfect match to Markov.
