Of course, there’s a decent chance that they’ll just be flooded with reports from college students touting their friends, but it’s possible they’d figure out a way to separate the wheat from the chafe and actually make good use of this info. As we’ve seen with all the sabermetric-type sites out there, there are a lot of knowledgeable baseball fans out there who are willing to do a lot of hard work for free, so kudos to the Cardinals for at least seeing if they can gain any value for free.
