Not sure if I have this right. They are basically giving him a 5 year $122MM deal, or $24.4M/year. He has averaged 6.2 fWAR a year over past 3 years. Take a half win off for aging and he’s 5.7 WAR. That’s $4.3M a win. Does not seem like there is much inflation over previous years, albeit this is the first big signing of the offseason.
