The worst clutch hitter of the year so far is…

By Tangotiger, 04:55 PM

ARod!  That proves that WPA works…

Two of the guys that the Fans chose as anti-clutch (ARod and Atkins) happen to be #1 and #3 on the choking-leader list.

Congratulations ARod, you are officially the biggest choke hitter of the year!

In the 57 highest-leverage situations, you managed to get 4 IBB.  Why?  Managers really thought that the choke tag wasn’t true.  In the other 53 PA, you had a .267 batting average, .358 OBP, and a lousy .356 slugging.  It is very difficult for someone that good to perform this bad when the game was on the line.  But, you did it.  Congratulations, once more.
