The Book and Amazon

By Tangotiger, 11:56 AM

I just got an email alert from Amazon, suggesting I may like “The Book”.  Funny.

Anyway, if you guys make any purchases at Amazon, follow the link at the top left corner of any page.  You actually don’t even have to buy The Book.  Just make any of your Amazon purchases through that link.

We get referral bonuses, and it doesn’t cost you, the purchaser, a thing.  (Comes out of Amazon’s pocket.) We don’t make much out of it… just enough to pay for the site and various admin costs.

Didn’t know that. Will keep it in mind from now on.

(I don’t think the link is on every page though, but it is on the home page)

Yeah, I’m always surprised at the number of new readers that show up here, so I have to give that reminder occasionally.

The Amazon link is on every page.  Just click on the image.

Thanks. I was not aware of that. I have an Amazon purchase coming up with some left-over Christmas and birthday money. I’ll be sure to come through here when I get them.

Yeah, I should have thought to remind everyone BEFORE Xmas shopping…

Thanks for the reminder.  I know you’ve posted that before but I don’t always remember and I do most of my online shopping at Amazon.  I don’t get anything based on the site I go through so I maight as well help out my favorite spot on the web!

This is what you should do right now:

1. Close your browser

2. Re-open your browser

3. Open a new tab

4. Go to our blog

5. Click on the Amazon link at the top left

6. Click Tools/Options (in Firefox) and “Use Current Pages” as your home pages

Result?  This blog and Amazon (with The Book referral link) will fire up, each time you start your browser.
