STAR TREK preview!

By Tangotiger, 03:35 PM

Huge nerd alert, if the thread title actually excited you. Here you go, actual blogging from someone who actually saw 20 minutes of the movie of which was actually introduced by director JJ Abrams.

(It’s the same link three times.  I’m just excited!)

Now, do NOT read the section titled: “THIRD SCENE”.  Skip over it, unless you know who the special guest star of the movie is.  This is the kind of thing you do not want to know, but, inevitably, it will leak out far before the movie comes out.

I’m just scared of J.J. Abrams.  All set up but he never delivers the goods.

The third scene was really cool, BTW. smile

I don’t know. It sounds like great production but tears apart what we know of the ST universe. I still remembering watching the original broadcast pf the pilot “Where No Man Has Gone Before”.

On the other hand, I had similar thoughts about the reimagining of Battlestar Galactica, but once I watched it, it is no doubt the best fraking show on television. If they will just every show those last 10 episodes.

So did they ask Ron Moore to reboot Star Trek? He got his start on The Next Generation and went on to Deep Space Nine before he ot to run the new Galactica. I have often thought that this (BG) is what Star Trek could have been like if the producers let them. Rick Berman killed Trek.

I wonder how Buzz Bissinger would react if he saw this post.

Sadly, I’ve already seen a few other sources spoil the secret guest star.  This is probably going to be a Catch-22 where the people who will be most excited by the guest’s appearance will be precisely the ones who will already know about it.
