Psst… wanna work for the NY Yankees?

By Tangotiger, 07:12 PM

Tell ‘em “I heard it from Tango”.  I don’t if it’ll help, but it can’t hurt:

» Video Intern, Baseball Operations - New York Yankees (Bronx, NY)
» Statistical Analysis Intern, Baseball Operations - New York Yankees (Bronx, NY)
» Web Development Intern, Baseball Operations - New York Yankees (Bronx, NY)

If you are not a current full-time student, or graduated before May 2009, don’t waste your time applying for the 3 jobs Tango lists. Why in the hell do I need to be a student to do these jobs? Oh well, I hate the Yankees anyway.

I don’t want any of those jobs anyway.  Let me know when the travelling secretary needs an assistant.

Teams’ HR departments like to hire students because labor laws require them to pay interns or give course credit.  Offering internships exclusively for course credit is about the cheapest form of labor they can get (essentially free).

Rally, nice Seinfeld reference.
