Poll: Hall of Fame Ballot - Most Outstanding Players

By Tangotiger, 04:34 PM

Choose the Most Outstanding Players (however you choose to define “outstanding").  On Monday, the 4 winners win partake in a “Survivor-style” battle with the 7 leading candidates (Raines, Alomar, Larkin, Trammell, Edgar, McGwire, Blyleven).

I voted, but none of these guys deserves to pass any of your top seven.

#2    Tangotiger      (see all posts) 2009/12/23 (Wed) @ 18:00

I’m going to declare a winner once someone has 10 more votes than the rest of the players in his group.

So far:
+8 McGriff
+7 Appier
+6 Ventura
+3 Dale Murphy

The Murphy/Dawson race is the one that might have to go to 100 votes to get resolved.  The others should go to 30-40 votes.

Currently, I have 25-28 votes.

Ok, Ventura, Appier and McGriff move on.

Dawson v Murphy is still alive, with only 4 votes separating them after 56 votes.

#4    Tangotiger      (see all posts) 2009/12/23 (Wed) @ 21:46

Yowza, now Hawk is 2 votes ahead.  If neither of them gets the 10 vote margin win, I’m inclined to call it a draw and move on to the next stage.  I’ll give it another day…

#5    Tangotiger      (see all posts) 2009/12/24 (Thu) @ 10:50

Ok, I’m stopping the balloting for this phase, and calling Murphy v Dawson a draw.

Look for the next ballot in a few minutes…
