Patriot: Calling BullSh-t on Jeff Brantley

I love these.

A commenter on my blog pointed out that Brantley’s first ML *start* comes a little closer to his description.  It came against the Braves, although it was in SF, not Atlanta.  He walked Ron Gant, then balked, and hit Jeff Blauser.  He got out of the inning with a DP and a K.  For the game, he did walk 4 in 5 innings.

As he pointed out, it seems as if Brantley has combined the memory of his first game with that of his first start and exaggerated a bit.
