Movies Nomination List

By Tangotiger, 12:10 PM

Please tell me what baseball movies you have seen.  I’m giving you a random sampling of 30 movies.  Please just check off those you have seen.  After I get 50-100 ballots submitted, I’ll present the nomination list for best baseball movies.

Thanks, Tom

No mention of Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, or The Natural?

Bang the Drum Slowly.

OK, now I understand after reading comment #16 in Sunday’s baseball movie thread.

best baseball television series is an easy one.  Eastbound and Down by a landslide.

If Brewster’s Millions makes the final list, I know what I’m voting for.
Who knew it was a baseball movie.
I certainly didn’t, but I have certainly seen it (about 15 times).

Ok, I now have 199 ballots.  That should be enough.  I’ll leave it open for a couple of more hours for those who want to have fun, otherwise I have what I need.  You guys continue to impress me.

There’s about 35 movies that have received at least 25% watched.  That’ll become my base group of movies.  I’ll relaunch either tonight or tomorrow morning.

The expectation is that about one-third of the time, you’ll get two movies you’ve seen go head-to-head.

At 234 ballots.

Here is the list of most watched baseball movies of the readers of this blog:

For the best movie competition, I am going to draw the line at somewhere between 25% watched to 35% watched.  Not sure yet.

A couple of movies are listed twice with different ID’s, namely Bad News Bears (original, I assume, actually maybe the old one and the remake), and Bang the Drum Slowly (I think there was only one version).

I put in the title the year, so you can see the difference.  There were two of each of those movies.
