How to write an article about a science paper

By Tangotiger, 04:15 PM

Didn’t we have something similar a few months ago about how to write a blog post?

Yes, we did have one on how to write an incendiary blog post, except I think that one came up when I posted it in a comment.

This is so so true of how science is reported in the mainstream press even more so than blogs as articles are very formulaic and often based on press releases.

In fairness to science journalists this is due to the time pressure, the lack of expertise a science Journalist has in the particular area they are looking at and the need to avoid losing the audience/keep the sub-editor happy.
