Easy search for Firefox

By Tangotiger, 01:35 PM

This is real sweet, if you have Firefox.  Install the extension in the link.  Restart Firefox.  Then, simply hover your mouse over the search box on my blog, right-click, and select “Add to search bar”.  That’s it!  Then, go to your other favorite websites, like baseball-reference, and whatnot, and do the same thing.  Real sweet.

Very cool. If you have the ConQuery extension (link on my name) this also automatically adds the search to the right-click menu.

Here is the page for sports search engines that are already built for Firefox and easily added to the search box in Firefox.

It already has:
* Alex Reisner Baseball Stats
* Baseball Prospectus
* Baseball Reference
* ESPN Baseball
* ESPN MLB Player
* ESPN-MLB Team Clubhouse
* Fangraphs Player Search
* Hardball Times
* Hardball Times : Players
* Minor League Ball
* Minor League Baseball
* Minor League Splits - Last Name
* MLB - Player Search
* MLB.com
* Rototimes Baseball
* The Baseball Cube
* TSN - Baseball
* Unofficial MLB (mlb4u.com)
plus a ton for other sports

Here can be found instructions on how to make one of these for a website.  Tom, if you make one for this site, I’d guess it would draw new people.
