Really good stuff.
I’ve had data for the Cuban batters with mlbam id’s (those in the WBC and those who defected). Checking Clay’s numbers on Cespedes with mine
Clay’s projected OPS for Cespedes is 782, mine is 780.
Clay does have 11 season’s worth of data, I have 6 to work with, and he appears to have made adjustments for seasonal differences in league rates. I’m projecting more BA, less ISO and BB%, but overall we’re damn close.
