Best short interview (with a baseball player) I’ve read in a long time

Of course, I don’t read too many interviews, but this one was hilarious.  TH sounds like a really intelligent, funny guy.

The game he describes at the end appears to have happened just how he said (click name).

Torii’s a lot of fun to root for.

I read obfuscation in Hunters rhetoric;to
glibly say to KM that he could find
something on him,if he looked close
enough.The Players Association are
the cart in front of the horse.Random
drug tests for any player,,without any knowledge of when it would occur, should be in the MLB bylaws.
The players, ESPN,etc. reveal their
interests are in sweeping the dirt under the rug.
Self interest trumps integrity. We see this
reflected in every sector of society.

Hunter’s an entertaining interview, but I was glad to see his circus act leave Minnesota.  Telling the MN media (essentially) that Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer were big pussies for not playing through injuries more often was ridiculously out of line and if I have to hear the MN media reference his attempted punch of Morneau one more time, I might stab myself in the eye with a fork.

Hunter gave me batting lessons a few years ago at a place I used for hitting and he was a great guy.  Doesn’t even use a pitching machine, all off the tee…
