Bay, Ramirez, WPA

By Tangotiger, 07:18 AM

Leaderboards as of this morning on Fangraphs:

WPA: Batters
Lance Berkman 5.29
Pat Burrell 4.98
Albert Pujols 4.47
Jason Bay 4.42
Manny Ramirez 4.18

Ramirez is also #7 in WPA/LI and Bay is #9.

That is all.

Oh, I am crying over the loss of Bay, but I definitely thought the Red Sox wee not losing anything in the exchange.

I am also trying to convince other Pirate fans that the combined value of Andy LaRoche, Moss and Pearce is higher than that of Bay, Nady and Bautista. I calculate that both little LaRoche and Moss have higher TTLs than Nady at this point, although both are less than Bay. And Bautista complains that he wasn’t told why he was benched
