Astros hire Mike Fast
It obviously took way too long to hire him, but someone finally did. Congratulations to Mike, and Jeff, and Sig.

Thank you! I’m excited, obviously.
I’m definitely going to be paying closer attention to the Astros now. Mike’s one of my Saber-heroes. Don’t think I’ve ever read something of his that didn’t teach me something or otherwise leave me impressed. Great hire for the ‘stros. Congrats, Mike, and good luck.

Great for Mike, of course.
But, as with other hired saberists, we are gonna miss the good stuff they had been giving us prior to the hiring.
But, there is always new blood, and plenty of room. The king is dead; long live the king!

Congrats Mike. I always appreciated how you attacked a question/problem, and seemingly would not rest until you had an answer.
I first started following your stuff when I was looking at pitchfx data to give pitch break and control ratings for pitcher’s pitches in MLB The Show (video game), and have been following every since.
When you get a chance, can you see if you can get them to bring back the orange hats with the blue star? Thanks.
