This is not so much a sports story, as an appreciation for comedy.  Anyone who followed the Expos (R.I.P.) has a certain amount of disgust reserved for Loria and Samson.  So, I love Brattain’s quote here:

Do they really want to [let] loose these two franchise assassins (never forget, you need two asses to spell assassin) on a third region?

Reminds me of another quote from former leadoff hitter and comedian Bret Butler consoling a fellow female subjected to sexism: “Ah, you know guys.  They think harass is… two words.”
