The most meaningful stat according to players is…

RBI.

And, they’re right.  If by “meaningful” it means “accolades, MVPs, and chicks”.  Number 2 is OBP, meaning that there are some players who have no hope of winning MVPs and took “meaningful” to mean “wins and playoffs”.  Number 3 is Batting Average, meaning that there are some players who have no idea what the heck they are talking about.  Number 4 is OPS, meaning that there are some players who know what the heck they are talking about.  8th is SLG right behind batting average with runners in scoring position.  A complete mess of answers.
