Another (great) baseball symposium in May!
Unlike the recent Sloan conference, in which there was lots of stuff which had little to do with baseball and sports analytics, this one is ONLY baseball, and mostly sabermetrics, with some scouting, physics, and neuro-muscular science thrown in as well!
And…
All the proceeds go to charity (The Jimmy Fund)! As some of you know, I hate when things are done for profit (I do realize that everyone’s got to make a living).
I will be there discussing everything you didn’t want to know about defensive analysis. Along with me is a great cast of really smart and interesting folks:
Alan Nathan
David Gassko
Tom Tippett
Jeremy Greenhouse
Dan Brooks
Jonah Kerri
Jared Porter
Andy Andres
David Sheinberg
Michael Richmond
Chuck Korb
It is being hosted by Chuck Korb (he’s a great guy) of SOSH and will be at Harvard University on May 21 and May 22. Of course there will be an opportunity to go to a Sox game.
So, if your mother ever wanted you to go to Harvard, now is the time!
Here is the official web site of the event:
